Blues Re-Sign Vladimir Sobotka

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has re-signed forward Vladimir Sobotka to a three-year contract extension. 

“Vlady is a hard-nosed two-way player that filled many roles for us last season,” said Armstrong.  “His work ethic is an excellent representation of our organization.”

Sobotka, 23, completed his fourth NHL season and first with the Blues in 2010-11 setting career highs in games played (65), points (29), goals (7), assists (22) and penalty minutes (69).  The 5’10”, 190-pound forward has appeared in 199 games during his four-year NHL career accumulating 51 points including 13 goals and 38 assists to go along with 133 penalty minutes.

Sobotka extension is $3.9 million total. He will make $1.2, $1.3, $1.4 over the next three years.
