from Bob Duff of the Windsor Star,
After a struggle that saw them lose nine in a row at one point, Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville of Riverside believes his team is headed in the right direction as they prepare to open their Stanley Cup Western Conference quarter-final playoff series against the Phoenix Coyotes.
“Right now we have confidence in our team game,” Quenneville said. “We’ve got confidence at the right time of year. Let’s play with emotion and continue to build on what got us here, and look to have everyone contribute in a meaningful way.”
Two years removed from their Stanley Cup triumph of 2009-10, the Blackhawks will enter the playoffs as the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference, Quenneville doesn’t put much stock in the seeding numbers listed next to the teams.
