Blackhawks Can See The Light

from Ray Slover at the Sporting News,
As Blackhawks GM, Tallon seems to have a solid plan for his team. And Wednesday’s signing of No. 1 overall pick Patrick Kane is the latest feel-good story to come out of the cavernous United Center.
Wow, a light at the end of the Blackhawks’ tunnel that isn’t attached to an elevated train.
There’s no guarantee Kane will make the team this year. He’s an 18-year-old kid, after all. There’s every reason for Blackhawks fans to hope he does.
Why? Because he will be surrounded by plenty of talent. Kane won’t have to be the bellwether player for a beleaguered team. He can grow with the nucleus and help it develop into something the Blackhawks haven’t been since Bill Wirtz was a philanthropist—a winner.
