from Brian Hamilton of the Chicago Tribune,
Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville entered a media room Wednesday and sat in front of a Notre Dame backdrop, with an unmistakable verve and a smile curled beneath his insuperable mustache.
"I'm just going to say right off the bat: What a place," Quenneville said. "It's amazing."...
Having camp open at Notre Dame was the brainchild of Hawks general manager Stan Bowman, Class of 1995, and Notre Dame hockey personnel. Not a shift of training camp had been skated Wednesday, but Bowman left open the possibility of return trips.
"We're not going to rule anything out," Bowman said. "We talked about seeing how this goes. But there's a lot of excitement, I can tell you that, from our players' perspective. I've talked to some of them, and a few comments they made were, 'Normally I don't get that excited about the start of camp. But this year I'm actually pretty interested to see what it's all about.'
