Big tilt tonight in the Motor City

This is a big one for the Habs. They shutout Vancouver. They beat San Jose. They beat Philadelphia. They’ve taken the Bruins. They dominated Phoenix.

Can they defeat the Red Wings?

I’ll admit it, the Wings are THE team to beat. Each and every year. Sure, the Penguins are good, Philadelphia is good, San Jose is often great until April, but the Wings are the pinnacle. They are in a class of their own.

PK Subban is back in, Yannick Weber is out. And I am still computerless.

Come on Apple, get my Macbook fixed and give me a ring. Please. I can’t take this borrowing of laptops any longer.

Puck drop at seven.

Meanwhile, down the 401…

Alex Kovalev isn’t happy. He’s the “scapegoat.” I tend to agree with him; the entire team has been abysmal, why is he getting all the heat? When was the last time Alfredsson scored a goal? The millennium? I for one believe Kovalev in Montreal would be inspired and raring to go. He’d want to show everyone they were wrong. Especially a division rival. If I’m Pierre Gauthier, I’m making the phone call. And if the price is a 4th, or a 5th, I’m making the deal.

I know some, if not many, of you disagree with me, but Kovalev is proud, Kovalev is talented, and Kovalev is coming off major knee surgery. He’s a proven big game performer, and he’ll show up if he’s wearing the CH.

Come on Pierre, pull the trigger.
