from Jim Matheson of Hockey World at the Edmonton Journal,
- Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Ray Shero was seen at the Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota over the last few days. Was he looking at Pierre-Marc Bouchard or Devin Setoguchi for his second line? The playmaking Bouchard’s contract is up July 1. The Wild won’t re-sign him. Setoguchi is more of a shooter.
- What the Edmonton Oilers sorely need is a David Clarkson or a Kyle Clifford type to play in their top 6. Clifford was a second-round Los Angeles Kings’ draft pick in 2009 who had 28 points in 60 junior games and 103 penalty minutes. He’s a hard-nosed kid with fair hands, now playing with Justin Williams and Jeff Carter. Undoubtedly, winger Mitch Moroz of the Western Hockey League’s Edmonton Oil Kings could their Clifford.
and here too...
