Arnason Gets The Message

With the trade deadline coming up on March 9, Arnason would likely be a player contending teams would like off the Hawks' roster. He doubts a trade would be in his best interests, however. "I like Chicago. I like the Blackhawks,'' he said. "I want to make it work here.'' The reaction to Arnason's benching somewhat surprised Yawney. "He's no different than anyone else,'' Yawney said. "No one talked about it when I sat Jassen Cullimore, Todd Simpson or Jim Dowd. They're all veterans who sat out. Arnie's part of the team, and my obligation is that if a player isn't performing, he has to be held accountable.''
