from Aaron Portzline of Puck-Rakers,
Blue Jackets winger R.J. Umberger is out indefinitely with “concussion-like symptoms,” interim coach Todd Richards said. Umberger played on Tuesday in Chicago, but the symptoms are believed to be the result of the elbow-to-the-head blow delivered by Anaheim’s J-F Jacques on Sunday.
Umberger left practice early today and was examined by doctors.
“I’ve been told he has concussion-like symptoms,” Richards said. “He’ll be on the shelf for a little bit here. This all goes back to the hit he took in Anaheim.”
