from Randy Miller of NJ.com,
The Flyers were 8-6-2 after winning three in a row in mid-November, but since they've been outscored 30-16 and shut out three times in going 1-7-1.
Blanked 3-0 at home on Black Friday, the Flyers were outshot 35-22 in losing again.
THE BAD
• D Andrew MacDonald, traded to the Flyers last March and given a six-year, $30 contract extension in May, was a healthy scratch.• The Flyers, after holding the Rangers to one shot in the first 11:37 of the second period, gave up 13 in being dominated in the final 8:23, including a goal that tied the game at 2-2.
• C Claude Giroux was given a double minor 1:00 into game after clipping Rangers C John Moore in the face with his stick. Derick Brassard made the Flyers pay by scoring a power-play goal at 2:50 for a 1-0 Rangers lead.
• LW R.J. Umberger, playing 14:54, was a minus-2 with no shots in his 16th consecutive game with no points.
• The Flyers allowed the opening goal for the 17th time in 23 games and 11th time in 11 road games.
It doesn't get any easier for the Flyers, they head west and play the Sharks, Duck and Kings starting Tuesday.
