from Doug Harrison of CBC,
Andrew Cogliano is quickly adapting to life as an Anaheim Duck, agreeing to a three-year contract just one week after the team acquired him in a trade with Edmonton.
The 24-year-old, whom some believe could be a replacement for retired centre Todd Marchant, will make $7.2 million US over the life of the contract - $2.15 million in the first year, followed by $2.35 million and $2.67 million, according to CBCSports.ca senior hockey writer Tim Wharnsby.
A restricted free agent who earned $1 million last season, Cogliano also avoids an arbitration hearing later this summer.
