Looked like Mes was going for the hip check but at last second ducked the rising stick from the shot, causing Mes to go even lower.

Agreed. Although Meszaros wasn’t going for the dirty play, he’s still responsible for his actions. That could have been very dangerious.

That was ridiculously low. Definitely deserved those penalties; Tyrell could have really been hurt.
