from Adam L. Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times,
Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville wouldn’t say that center Jonathan Toews suffered a setback as he recovers from a concussion. But Toews didn’t skate for the second consecutive day Tuesday after taking the ice four days in a row and sounding very optimistic about his return.
“He’s here. He’s getting treatments,” Quenneville said Tuesday after the Hawks’ morning skate at the United Center. “It’s part of the process. Some days are better than others, but he’s knows his body. We’ll see how he is. ... Hopefully, we’ll get back on the ice [Wednesday].”
Toews had hoped to return Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues. But the Hawks’ games Friday against the Dallas Stars and Sunday against the Washington Capitals always looked like more realistic options.
