LeBrun: It’s so strange not to see you behind an NHL bench after all those years in Dallas and Arizona. You must be like a fish out of water these days?
Tippett: Well, it’s been different, but I think the break has been good for me. The last three years in Arizona were really tough. It just came to a point where it was best for me to take a break and best for them to get a change. The break has been good, just to kind of rejuvenate and spend a lot of time watching other games and watching other teams. And going through the league in a way which you don’t when you’re coaching a team and you’re so focused on that group. It’s allowed me to focus on teams and players around the league. So it’s been good.
