from Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun,
Daniel Alfredsson isn’t ready to jump ship.
The Senators captain told reporters Tuesday morning he’s quite happy to stay in Ottawa and won’t be looking to be dealt to a contender with the club struggling towards the finish line.
Owner Eugene Melnyk and GM Bryan Murray both dismissed the possibility of Alfredsson being dealt to a contender before the Feb. 28th trade deadline…
This will not turn into a circus atmosphere Toronto had when Sundin wouldn’t move, even if it meant helping the Leafs in the long run. Bryan Murray knows how to handle a situation like this and will do it with class.
