Alain Vigneault Not Happy With The Effort From The New York Rangers

It was like you could see the steam coming out of Alain Vigneault’s ears, see the fire burning in his belly, see his face slowly start to turn a shade of red.

So the Rangers’ coach stormed off before he could say anything he might regret, having already done enough bashing of his team after a sleepy and confounding 3-0 loss to the Senators on Sunday afternoon at Canadian Tire Center.

“I really thought we were building momentum,” Vigneault said, his team coming off consecutive wins for the first time since just before Thanksgiving, the most recent a complete 4-1 road victory over the Hurricanes on Friday. “We played a real strong game in Carolina on the road. Thought we were getting somewhere. Then we come up with this tonight. So, thanks, I’m outta here.”
