Afternoon Line

Guaranteed that the sold-out Outdoor Classic in Ann Arbor will be one of the biggest feather in Gary Bettman's cap; if not the biggest.

Haha, yeah he’s earned every multi-million of his salary over the last 1,000 years he’s been making a mockery of the NHL since coming over from his nba gig.
A whole generation missed out on OT ties and divisions in the day named after the games builders like Norris, Smythe, Wales and Campbell.

MOAR shootouts..meh.

Next year he’ll add two more winter classic and eventually every there will be 15 of them yearly, lol.

Gotta love greed. I’ll watch these games at home or at the bar saving 100’s of bucks, thank you very much.

His job is to make the NHL money, that’s what he’s done and he’s been successful.

Whether he’s made the league money is extremely debatable at best, and more than likely false.

He’s been at that helm of 3 lockouts, 1 fora whole season and playoffs.

He’s overseen implantation of a salary that simply funnels money from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Detroit, New York, Philly, Boston to markets unable to stand by themselves.

He got a big tv contract (finally) after going years without a U.S national identity.

You could have put a monkey in charge for the past 20 years and not seen a significant difference in the fortunes of the league, and the monkey wouldn’t have screwed the game play itself up nearly as badly.

Selig finally has decided to retire so I’m just waiting for little gary to follow….in my lifetime hopefully.
Selig made MLB richer like bettman but he didn’t lose a ESPN TV deal, lol. Imagine if MLB had to show their games on OLN, Versus or whatever that channel is called now..effing joke.
I’ve been watching the NHL long before that midget ny lawyer took the job and will be watching it long after regardless.
Now move a team back to Quebec City and one to Seattle or Portland.
The majority of the NHL owners are to blame obviously for not firing this weasel but hey I guess it’s all about money not the fans nor integrity of the sport. Fans seem to always cheer him when he’s in any areana across North America, lol.

No offense, but those sound like the ramblings of a drunk uncle.
