Stupid quote from the worst coach ever.  Waaaah, waaaaaaah, waaaaaaaaaaaah.

It’s pretty telling that the complaints coming out of TOR fans are the *exact* same complaints DET fans had.  Especially the infatuation Babcock has for old vets in roles that put them way over their heads, and the effect that has on the team.

One has to wonder when the panic button gets pressed, and whose head would be the first to roll.

LOL, he has a lineup most other coaches would die for, but he needs more

So, so over-rated

Sorry, Chardee wink

Adding Muzzin helped and then Gardner went down. After being ridiculously piled on by the fans.
Yeah he can be error prone and soft defensively but he’s an important player.
Don’t they want to support their players to help actually get somewhere in the playoff for the first time
in forever? If I’d been a teammate of Gardner’s with any clout, I’d have directly called the fans reaction classless and said get on board or shut up. This is your team. Act like it. I’m tired of the idea that “well they buy tickets so they can do what they want.” I’ve never gotten fans singling out their own player for abuse that way. It can get bad enough on message boards. At a home game it’s plain counterproductive.

Anyway, I guess Dubas didn’t want to pay the going rate for a top-four right D.
Or a gritty top-nine forward. Or a fourth line center. I guess he thinks the team isn’t ready and he has an idea of how he can move out enough contracts for upgrades when they are ready to contend. Babcock is on a different schedule.

So Ron Hainsey is still expected to play a top pairing role for example.

Or maybe the chemistry is a little off when the temperature and pressure go up.

The wheels are starting to come off uncle Mike and he hasn’t even made a cup appearance yet.

Players: “I can’t get through this concrete wall”

uncle Mike: “well, you just need to run into it harder”

fans: “go around or over the wall”

uncle Mike: “no we go through the wall, it builds character”

players: “this isn’t smart. ok if you say so….it’s still not working”

uncle Mike: “harder”

rinse repeat
