A Grandfather In The Business

Another member of the Leafs family, forward Jon (Bates) Battaglia, also was looking forward to locking horns with his former team. But when the word family and Battaglia appear in the same sentence, there can be a different connotation for the power forward. Battaglia recently disclosed in an interview that his grandfather was Sam (Teets) Battaglia, the former head of the crime organization known as the Chicago Outfit. That sort of revelation usually provides enough fodder for dressing-room banter, but Battaglia hasn't heard a peep from his teammates.
