via the Boston Bruins,
The Bruins have announced that General Manager Peter Chiarelli will begin working with the team immediately. Chiarelli was named as the seventh General Manager in Bruins history on May 26, 2006 after seven seasons as Assistant General Manager with the Ottawa Senators. An agreement mediated at that time by the NHL between the Bruins and Senators stipulated that Chiarelli remain working in his capacity with the Senators until July 15, 2006.
