A Challenge To USA Hockey

If the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) follows through with its plan, American hockey could spilt between two rival governing bodies. A source familiar with the plans told HockeyRefs.com that it has to do with the ongoing dispute with the AAU and USA Hockey over the governing of inline, which also involves the USOC-backed USA Roller Sports. “(It’s) political posturing,” said the source, who wished to remain anonymous. “If ice won’t get out of inline, then inline will play ice.”
