A Two-Year Contract Extension For Max Domi In Montreal

MONTREAL - The Canadiens announced on Saturday they had agreed to terms with forward Max Domi on a two-year contract (2018-19 to 2019-20).

The deal has an average annual value of $3.15 million for the Canadiens, who acquired Domi from the Arizona Coyotes on Friday in exchange for Alex Galchenyuk.

Domi, 23, was Arizona's first-round pick (12th overall) at the 2013 Draft. Last season, he recorded 45 points (9G, 36A) in 82 contests. In 222 NHL games to date - all with the Coyotes - Domi has 36 goals and 135 assists.
