Last season, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound Chychrun registered 4-10-14 with 16 penalty minutes (PIM) in 50 games. The 20-year-old native of Boca Raton, FL has totaled 11-23-34 and 63 PIM in 118 career games with Arizona. Chychrun has played the most games and scored the most goals among all defensemen from the 2016 draft class.

In 2016-17, Chychrun became the youngest player in Coyotes history to make his NHL debut with the team (18 years, 198 days). He also became the youngest player in team history to score a goal and he registered the third-most points in Coyotes history among rookie defensemen.

Chychrun was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (16th overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
