That’s rich, I wonder if it’s real and how it’s structured. Power forwards tend to taper off pretty quickly around 29-30ish.

Hes not a lucic power forward, more of a Neal or Shannahan type.
Probably liked what they saw in the playoffs. Don’t hate it, 7 is the new 5.5.

This contract looks suicidal. Their GM’s mind must got somehow “hollandized” Lol

Yeah, except that Kane’s not a glorified fourth-liner.

That’s a whole lot of money for a 25 - 30 goal guy, is not a good two-way player, and is pretty inconsistent. I predict San Jose is going to regret that within only a season or two.

Seven Years. They’re going to regret it. Three years is ideal, anything over four years is too long under the leagues punitive salary rules.

I’m just relieved the Canucks didn’t go all Louie Erickson on us and offer him 8x8.

Any chance this has an effect on the Mantha or Larkin deals? Yes, there are RFAs but if the Wings want to sign them long-term Kane could be a comparable, especially to Mantha.
