A Must Win For Alain Vigneault?

from Larry Brooks of the New York Post,

There is considerable chatter circulating within the industry that Tuesday night’s match at the Garden against Vegas could be determinative for coach Alain Vigneault, whose Rangers slipped to 3-7-2 with Saturday night’s 5-4 defeat in Montreal that featured another distressing, no-show first period.

If this intelligence represents more than a case of deductive reasoning, then the conclusion that a change is necessary behind the bench has essentially already been made, whether the deciders do or do not know it and/or do or do not want to admit it.

If an organization is unsure the coach is the right guy, then he is the wrong guy.

Well there goes Tippett…... Wings are going to be too late, and we certainly do not want that smug SOB Vignault as the Wings Coach!!!

Yeah cool. Would be more meaningful if that was written by a local sports writer in Detroit.

I was really on the Blashill train for awhile, saying that babcock was too defensive, and had been there for too long and wasn’t getting anything out of the players after 9+ years… Now.. I think Blashill is just, not an NHL coach. Things change… :( Oh well. YOu know who i wanted SO bad? Bruins coach when he was fired: Claud Julien. And of course this brass is way too loyal. I was hoping the wings would lose 10 games in a row just to see if they would fire Blashill. Well, the wings WON, 1 Game! Time to give him another 10 games to prove himself. good God….

I’d probably say “at least it’s not Blashill”, but I would do that with literally any coach they choose.

No, but he does instill a lot of structure into a team.  Wouldn’t be the worst thing for a team like Detroit.  But he seems to love blending lines.  And, his press conferences are something to behold.
