A Bad Night For P.K. Subban

from Chris Ryan of NJ.com,
Subban didn’t mince words sitting in his stall in the Devils’ locker room, trying to make sense of the team’s 7-6 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning at Prudential Center in Newark.
In a game that featured plenty of goals, wild lead swings and overtime, Subban put himself at the center of the blame for the Devils’ inability to secure a second point.
It was atrocious. Just because you have three or four good shifts where you make a play, that’s not my game," Subban said. “I play 32 shifts a game, I expect at least 30 of them to be solid and not hurt our team. Every time I made mistake today, it hurt our team. That’s just what it is. There’s no other way to look at it. You’re on the ice for four goals at even strength, it shouldn’t have to come down to the last 13 seconds or four seconds for us to tie it to send it to overtime. I’ve known better than that and I’ve got to be better, and I will be.”
Subban was on the ice for four of the Lightning’s five 5-on-5 goals, including two in the fourth period that tied the game and gave the Lightning a 6-5 lead before Kyle Palmieri’s third goal with 7.4 seconds left forced overtime. Subban was on the ice for two Devils goals, including Palmieri’s final tally.
