from Mike Boone of Hockey Inside/Out,
Tuesday night’s game was a merciless butt-kicking.
The 3-1 final score flattered the visiting team, as did Florida’s narrow 29-28 margin in shots on goal.
With the exception of Ben Scrivens, who was making his goaltending debut in bleu-blanc-rouge, the Canadiens played one of their worst games in December … and that, HIO peeps, is saying something.
This has been a nightmare month for the Canadiens. They’ve lost 11 games in December – A FIRST IN TEAM HISTORY!
And if the last loss of the month was any indication, January could be worse.
Here’s one for the HIO Commentariat to chew over:
The Canadiens would have lost to Florida with Carey Price and Brendan Gallagher in their lineup.
The talent disparity is that wide.
