5 Tips to choosing the right tennis equipment

There are so many tennis racquets and even tennis balls on the market today which is why a lot of people get confused as to what they are seeking for tennis equipment. Whether you are upgrading from your current one or planning to get new equipment, it is important that you know exactly what you are looking for so that you will get the best. Knowing what to look for in tennis equipment will allow you to choose one that will give you more control, comfort, and power.

Here are five tips for choosing the right tennis equipment.

1.Determine the tennis racket head size you are comfortable to use.

There are different racket sizes out there. It’s usually midsize which is naturally 80-94 square inches, midplus which is 95-105 square inches, and oversize which is 110-115 square inches. For beginners, oversize or supersize racket head size is more often suited since they are generally more forgiving to use and it lets you generate more power. For professionals or for those who are more experienced, midplus or midsize racket head size are the usual choices as they come with greater power and precision.

2.Choose the right grip size.

There are also different racket grip sizes available for a tennis racket. The smallest is size 1 and the largest is size 5. Usually, most women choose grip sizes 2 or 3 while men choose grip sizes 3 or 4. Grip size 1 or 2 is often the go-to sizes for juniors. This is just a guide but it all depends on the ability and strength of the player as there are other factors that needed to be considered. If you want to read an unbiased review of the best racket as well as other information, you can read the best reviews in Racquet Sports Center.

3.Take the equipment’s weight into consideration.

For starters, a lighter racket is good for beginners. It is much easier to swing the racket when using a lighter racket. Heavier ones can easily tire you while playing but it is also a good training for developing your skills. Determine what you are comfortable to use. Nevertheless, to improve your skill in tennis, choose something that is not too heavy and not too light as well. This way, you will be able to practice your technique and not get compromised by poor skills if you play on the safe side.

4.Ask for recommendations.

One of the best ways to choosing the right tennis equipment is to ask for recommendations from those who have been playing tennis for some time or your instructor. Get their feedback before making the final purchase so you will have some insights as to what should be the best for you.

5.Make sure to purchase from trusted brands or companies.
