30 Teams As They Prepare For The Trade Deadline

03/24/2013 at 7:53am EDT

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun takes a look at each team in the East and West as they approach the trade deadline.

NEW YORK RANGERS: They’ve been desperate to do something for weeks. It doesn’t really matter what: They’ll take a forward or a defenceman. They have dangled right winger Marian Gaborik to see what kind of return they can get. If they don’t make the playoffs, then coach John Tortorella is going to be in trouble.

SAN JOSE SHARKS: GM Doug Wilson isn't trying to reset or retool, he's in a total state of panic. He's called about 29 GM's trying to make deals. Yes, Clowe is available and so is D Dan Boyle, but Wilson is willing to discuss anything. The concern is the same: Wilson has a tough time getting deals done.
