For the third consecutive year, the Edmonton Oilers have the first overall pick. And for that reason I will be making the trip to Pittsburgh to cover the event. During the draft weekend and the days leading up to it, I will be collecting photos, quotes and as many interviews from as many team’s selections as I can.
Because you come to Kukla’s Korner for the latest and broadest range of NHL and hockey news I will strive to bring it to you as a part of Paul’s team. Please keep in mind that mine is a one woman show, but feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. And be sure to check back here Thursday through Saturday for draft updates and of course the days following the draft as well.
The draft has been building up to be bigger and more eventful than free agency day itself and now we are only days away from the grand event in Pittsburgh’s new arena. Who will go first overall? Which team will make the biggest splash? Will Brian Burke make a big trade deal? We can always guess, but soon we will know. Stay tuned!
