On this day I hope you are surrounded by family while you sit back in your favorite recliner, being waited on throughout the day.
Enjoy this day and understand the majority of you are the backbone of the family, something to very proud of.

I just wanted to point out a few things regarding KK that some people may not be aware of.
First off, if you are a KK member, you have the option to delete any KK blog from appearing on the KK Homepage. Just click Preferences locatet on the top right of any KK page, just under the search bar. From there, follow directions and make sure to click Update at the bottom of the page.
Did you know you can eliminate most of the ads that appear on KK by making a donation of $25.00. This is a yearly option for you, you will not be automatically re-billed for this option but will receive a notice a few days before your one-year donation expires. You can get more information here.
I want to thank all of you who continue to use the KK affiliate link to Amazon.com. It seems more and more people are using it and it sure is appreciated.

KK- Thanks Everyone

I want to thank everyone for you well wishes and concern.
As a diabetic, I’ve learned to expect the unexpected.
Imagine seeing a psychedelic light show 24/7, that’s what happened to me.
When I first discovered I was a diabetic six years ago, this “light show” was how I was introduced to the disease.
Yesterday it came back, but only in one eye. So with the help of proper medication, it is resolved and I hope gone forever.
The picture below is close to what I was seeing, even with my eye closed, but it was in much more detail, almost a 3D type of detail too.

KK- Decision Time, KK Members Your Input Would Be Appreciated

Over the years, I have had numerous inquiries from potential advertisers asking me to post a blog about their product, business, service, etc., all non-hockey related.
They of course would pay for the “info-blog” but I have always declined their request.
As KK continues to grow, these inquiries continue and the amount they are willing to pay increases too.
If I chose to allow this type of post, it would not be on a regular basis, maybe 2 a week, then a lull for a few months, then maybe one a month, etc.
As you know, I am independent of any large backing, it is me and me alone. I decided on that path because I wanted to be free of what I can and can’t post and I also did not feel like having to report to someone else.
Everything starts and stops with me but I also value the input of the fine and dedicated KK members.
So let me know how you feel about this, thanks.

I need a few hours away from the computer and what better day than today to do so.
I am headed to Comerica Park to take part in the opening day festivities and also celebrate my birthday.
I am going to try to avoid posting until I return but if something major breaks, I do have my tablet with me and will post.
If nothing major happens, I will see you around 5:00pm and Go Tigers!

Many of you have asked about Alanah of Canucks & Beyond and today I must say it looks like she and her husband have a successful business adventure.
Last week, The Old Firehouse Wine Bar in Duncan B.C. celebrated their grand opening.
If you ever are on Vancouver Island, make sure to stop by the place and tell them I sent you.
I am sure Alanah would appreciate hearing from many of you, so please leave a message on their Facebook page.

For the next five hours or so, you may notice posting times may not match the current time.
Seems my server decided to flip the switch a little early instead of at 2:00am.
