Kukla's Korner Hockey
Unfortunately, Kukla’s Korner was unavailable for a while tonight. Our host apparently suffered some serious difficulties, as it appears a number of other websites on the same server went offline as well.
I’m not sure about the cause of the problems as yet, so I can’t guarantee they are over. For the moment, I’ll just cross my fingers and hope the site stays online.
Sorry for the inconvenience—thanks for being patient.
update 6:56am(Paul), All is well… There was a scheduled maintenance that I failed to note here at KK…
Despite all the changes around here, the KK Hockey Links Page is still in business and updated with a lot of new sites, blogs and hockey media to check out. A great resource.
You can also access that page anytime from a link on the left sidebar under “More Hockey Links.”
note: If you’ve sent us a note about your site or blog and it’s not included, there is a chance I overlooked your email. My apologies for the hassle, but please feel free to send me another notification any time.
We are experiencing a KK Forum issue right now. New posts are not showing up so we are looking into this problem.
We ask you avoid posting until you get the all clear…thanks.
update 2:37pm., KK Forum is now open….
What else can I say!
If you are having some issues, can I suggest you clear your cache and or cookies. This morning we have an issue in the KK Forum which prevents you from making a new post. When this message is gone, you can post again.
added 11:21am, In order to fix the KK Forum, Kukla’s Korner will be offline beginning at 5pm ET today. This should take no more than an hour to fix.
update 2:35pm, The KK Forum issue has been resolved, therefore KK will not be down this evening. You can now post in the Forum.
Post will remain sticky for a day or so.
Well, enough with the testing, it looks like the new-look Kukla’s Korner will be converted sometime this evening.
So if you try to access KK later today, you may run into a 404, 505, or whatever type of error or it just may be a message stating check again soon. Whatever, you know the conversion is in process.
I have been told KK can be down between 3-5 hours, but that is just a guestimate.
All I can say right now is just check back every-so-often, eventually the new-look Kukla’s Korner will appear.
Well, what can we say, another great month for KK. We did not expect almost 5 million page views for the month of August, probably the slowest month of the hockey calendar.
Your continued support of KK allows us to add more features, which I am HOPING to say, will be implemented shortly.
The new look KK is so close, yet I want to make sure everything is working so we can hit the ground running. Testing is ongoing and again, KK will be “shutdown” while we move over 16,000 posts to the new look. I will be posting when we do the conversion but in case you miss it and try to visit KK, you just may run into a “not available” notice, so be prepared for that.
Stats for previous months are available here...
We are very close to displaying the new KK layout. We are in final testing mode and should have it up very soon.
KK will be down for a period of time, probably no more than 4 hours while we make the switch from old to new.
A post will go up giving you a more specific time frame for the introduction of the new site.
The concept of KK will not change, we will continue to present the same format but with significant, additional enhancements.
It is a very exciting time for us and we do hope you will agree when you see the new KK layout.
If you have any questions about KK, feel free to ask away in the comments and enjoy your weekend!
Now that Alanah is up, has had her two cups of coffee, maybe we can wish her a Happy “29th” Birthday.
Alanah has been a great addition to KK and things will only get better, real soon.
HBA (Happy Birthday Alanah)!
Miss604 also pays tribute to the Queen.
I believe this may be a good weekend to relax, take some time off and enjoy the beautiful weekend in Michigan.
I will be around, but moving a little slower than normal. A big week ahead for KK readers, just a little hint there folks!
If you have a story you feel folks should be made aware of, feel free to post it in the comment section or, as always, KK members can post in the KK Forums.
Wow, what a month for KK!
Who would have thought the UFA period would have brought so many readers to KK for the month of July?
I expected a slight increase in numbers for the month, but nothing like this. Thank you to everyone who visits KK on a regular basis and it is much appreciated.
The facelift for KK is right around the corner. Expect to see some fantastic enhancements to the site sometime this month. It has been a long process but one well worth waiting for.
