Kukla's Korner Hockey
I am off to a Doctor’s appointment. I won’t have internet access for about an hour, but will be back shortly after that.
In the meantime, feel free to bring up anything hockey related in the comments.
update 2:49pm, I am back. What, no 3-way trades, no signings, no nothing. Carry on folks.
Over the course of a normal week at KK, I receive about 30 requests to post something hockey related on KK.
At time I do post and at other times I point them to the KK Member Blog, where KK members can do their own post on anything hockey related.
For instance, a post about the World Outdoor Ball Hockey Championships just went up.
So you can see, you can put it to good use if you so desire.
I hope your August Long Weekend is great and soon hockey talk will be on the front burner.
It certainly appears we will be having a slow, hockey news day today.
Teams are waiting to see how the arbitration hearings go before making any more player movements. Although we may see some minor moves, I doubt we hear of any major signings until these hearings are complete.
I am around today, but as has been the case the for the last few weeks, not much is really going on.
Therefore, this post is an open comment one, have your say anything hockey related and let the discussion begin.
I was planning on hitting the golf course for a 8am tee time, but rain has delayed my plans.
Even after one day of not following all the NHL news, I do feel a bit more relaxed and have a new outlook on life.
While I am in this relaxed posting mode, remember to check out the Sportsnet Free Agent signing tracker which lists even the minor signings that may not be listed on KK.
Have a great day and enjoy the weekend, I know I will.
It is that time of year, when news is slow and about to get even slower.
Therefore, I plan to be in relaxed mode through the weekend. I am still around, but posting will be be relaxed, meaning when I feel like posting, I will.
The time has come for me to recharge my batteries a bit and recover from a very long season.
Please understand this it the first time in four years that I am doing this and may even extend the relaxed mode into next week, but I do need to do some things around the house and get outside and enjoy this great weather. Maybe even chase a little white ball around some green grass!
I am headed out for the evening and will try to update if I hear of anything major regarding our game.
Otherwise enjoy the weekend and Go Tigers!
Hope everyone has a great Independence Day!!!
For the next three days, the KK Hockey section will be in lite-posting mode while I enjoy some party time with family and friends.
I know many of you are heading out for a long holiday weekend very soon and just wanted to keep you updated with our plans for KK.
We will be monitoring all UFA signings and possible trades throughout tonight, then return to our regular routine on Friday.
We may be a little slower with updates through the holiday weekend, but come next Tuesday, we will be right back at it.
I do plan on taking a vacation sometime late July or early August, I feel it is deserved after four years.
Again, be safe this weekend folks, we want you back on Tuesday.
No, I am not up yet, but soon will be.
For those readers who have been around KK for more then a year, you know what to expect today. For those of you that are new, you may want to check out how we did thing during the first day of the UFA period last season (then scroll forward). It is kind of fun to read all the talk last year on July 1st too,
KK will be around all day and into the night and will be providing you with the latest signings, trades and yes, even some of the rumors.
We hope you enjoy the day and just in case you are not sure, the UFA signing period starts at noon ET.
