KK- The Diagnosis Is Chronic Sinusitis

I do have a few polyps which will need to be removed very soon and checked for any malignant ones. They are considered low risk so hoping for the best.

The Mayo Clinic explains the issue....

Chronic sinusitis occurs when the spaces inside your nose and head (sinuses) are swollen and inflamed for three months or longer, despite treatment.

This common condition interferes with the way mucus normally drains, and makes your nose stuffy. Breathing through your nose may be difficult, and the area around your eyes might feel swollen or tender.

Chronic sinusitis can be brought on by an infection, by growths in the sinuses (nasal polyps) or swelling of the lining of your sinuses. Also called chronic rhinosinusitis, the condition can affect both adults and children.

Common signs and symptoms of chronic sinusitis include:

  • Nasal inflammation
  • Thick, discolored discharge from the nose
  • Drainage down the back of the throat (postnasal drainage)
  • Nasal obstruction or congestion, causing difficulty breathing through your nose

continued and I have all four of the above symptoms...

I may have to take a day or two off soon, but it will be before the playoffs start.

I am also planning a full upgrade to KK, it will be pushed back a bit but is still happening.  I have to make sure I am 100% and all is well moving forward.

I apologize for not being able to update yesterday and probably today too.

I have at least three types of tests scheduled today targeting my sinus and unfortunately my heart area.

I will update when up to it.

KK- Out For At Least This Morning

On a mission to find out what ails me. Just have not felt very well for the last 3 weeks and time to get a more thorough diagnosis.

Sinus/flu/cold, I have symptoms of all three.

I have seen a Dr. twice and no improvement so time to get  a real answer.

I am drained, can't sleep for more than 3 hours at a time due to sinus congestion..

Hope to be back later today.

NHL Short Notes

Jean-Gabriel PageauRobin Lehner and Patrick Marleau were among the 55 players on the move as teams made 32 trades on deadline day.

Joonas Korpisalo earned a relief win in his return to the lineup as the Blue Jackets moved back into the second Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

* Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl (36-62—98 in 62 GP) enters Tuesday’s game two points shy of his second consecutive 100-point season.

Teams made 32 trades involving 55 players on Monday prior to the 2020 NHL Trade Deadline. The 32 transactions were the most on record for Trade Deadline Day (since 1979-80), just ahead of 2009-10 (31 trades).

* The Hurricanes were busy on Monday adding forward Vincent Trocheck in a trade with the Panthers and a pair of defensemen: Sami Vatanen from the Devils and Brady Skjei from the Rangers.

* The Senators traded forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau, who has scored a career-high 24 goals in 2019-20, to the Islanders for New York’s 1st-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft (conditional), 2nd-round pick in 2020 and a conditional pick in 2022. Pageau then agreed to a six-year contract with his new team.

KK- Still ill

I've been up half the as the nasal congestion, watery eyes and overall body sourness continues.

I feel worse today than yesterday but hoping improvement begins later today.

So I need to take it easy until I can actually focus on my monitor and keyboard.

I will get back at it as soon as I can.

Happy Hanukkah

The lighting of the Menorah begins at  sundown tonight.

The miracle of Hanukkah is that only one vial of oil was found with just enough oil to illuminate the Temple lamp for one day, and yet it lasted for eight full days.
