KK- Out For A Few Hours

I am on my way to a scheduled Dr. appointment and should return by 1pm or so.

It's very slow again today and I will update, if needed, when I return.

KK- It’s Slow

Weird to say the offseason is upon us in mid-October, but it has been a very weird year since the middle of March.

For those new to KK, I am around but do not post just to post.  Only newsworthy information which I feel is of interest to the majority of followers is posted.  So when you see a post, rest assured it is probably worth checking out.

On another note, the KK Donation Drive is winding down and $400 would get me to my goal for this period.  I am concerned about the downtime and hope it doesn't last long.  Also, another stimulus check would work wonders.

With that...

I prefer payment via PayPal (note new PayPal link now affiliated with KK) and also have a GoFundMe account set up too.  Another payment method I'm using is Zelle, which is a way to send a donation through your bank.  The email address to use is pk at kuklaskorner dot com

KK- An Update On The Donation Drive

To the 77 people who have donated $2100 in the last two days, I cannot thank you enough.

I would like to get to $4000 because I am concerned about the dead period which will come about a week after the UFA period starts this Friday.

Again thanks to all and any amount will help out.

Here is the original post of the KK Donation Drive from this Monday.

update, I am removing the sticky on this for UFA Day, it will become a sticky again on Saturday.  Original post was on 10/7/20 at 9:24am.

NHL Short Notes

THREE HARD LAPS

Brayden Point, who returned to the Lightning lineup after a one-game absence, registered his sixth multi-point game this postseason as Tampa Bay moved within one win of the Stanley Cup Final.

* The first three goals in Game 4 between the Lightning and Islanders were scored in a 27-second span, with Brock Nelson opening the scoring and Blake Coleman and Ondrej Palat tallying 12 seconds apart to erase the 1-0 deficit.

* The Stars look to reach the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in over 20 years when they face the Golden Knights in Game 5.

KK- The Diagnosis Is Chronic Sinusitis

I do have a few polyps which will need to be removed very soon and checked for any malignant ones. They are considered low risk so hoping for the best.

The Mayo Clinic explains the issue....

Chronic sinusitis occurs when the spaces inside your nose and head (sinuses) are swollen and inflamed for three months or longer, despite treatment.

This common condition interferes with the way mucus normally drains, and makes your nose stuffy. Breathing through your nose may be difficult, and the area around your eyes might feel swollen or tender.

Chronic sinusitis can be brought on by an infection, by growths in the sinuses (nasal polyps) or swelling of the lining of your sinuses. Also called chronic rhinosinusitis, the condition can affect both adults and children.

Symptoms

Common signs and symptoms of chronic sinusitis include:

  • Nasal inflammation
  • Thick, discolored discharge from the nose
  • Drainage down the back of the throat (postnasal drainage)
  • Nasal obstruction or congestion, causing difficulty breathing through your nose

continued and I have all four of the above symptoms...

I may have to take a day or two off soon, but it will be before the playoffs start.

I am also planning a full upgrade to KK, it will be pushed back a bit but is still happening.  I have to make sure I am 100% and all is well moving forward.

I apologize for not being able to update yesterday and probably today too.

I have at least three types of tests scheduled today targeting my sinus and unfortunately my heart area.

I will update when up to it.
