With the way sticks are breaking these days left and right, game in and game out, there is an interesting take on wooden sticks from Jason Lockhart over at MaxHockey.com.
Here’s a quick peek:
Stick companies can continue to sell all of their overpriced composite sticks but there is at least one NHL veteran, who has tallied a modest 326 career NHL goals who won’t be buying them.
However, even Holik may have to convert to composites because the production of his beloved wooden twigs is coming to an end.
“They’re strictly leftovers,” says Holik, who plans to check how many sticks he has left in stock. “If I play long enough, I might run out of them, and I might be forced to play with composite sticks.”
