As I’m sure all of you are aware, there are many great hockey podcasts out there that all deserve our attention.
Today, I bring you Eddie Garcia of Puck Podcast, a hockey talk show based out of California. Eddie was kind enough to take time out of his hectic schedule to tell us about how he got into the sport we all love, how he and Puck podcast partner Dough Stolhand came up with the show, as well as his thoughts on the current landscape of hockey podcasts.
Take it away, Eddie:
PH: How did you get into hockey?
EG: My interest in hockey began in the late 80’s and was fueled by the Wayne Gretzky trade to Los Angeles. When The Great One became a King I started watching more and more games on TV. Prior to the 1992 season I decided I was going to really invest the time in following the Kings from the start of the season to the end. Little did I know the Kings would make a surprising run to the Stanley Cup Finals. I became a huge fan of both the team and the sport from that year on. My love in the sport had grown each year and I also have been playing hockey for the last 9 years.
