Tapping Our Stick to Bloggers

From Greg Wyshynski at Puck Daddy:

It’s a major award! The Puck Daddy blog has been honored with Hockey Writer of the Year from HockeyBarn.com.

Thanks to the Barn and the judges for the honor, which comes with a ticket to the Hockey Hall of Fame induction with Edmonton Oilers great Glenn Anderson (that won’t be too awkward). Not sure what we’re doing with the prize yet. It’s a hell of a thing.

Glenn contributed a video announcing our big win, including the phrase: “Puck Daddy, as he is commonly known, rules the sport.” And yet no servant girls ...

Our buddy Chris Botta of NYI Point Blank, who won the Unsung Hero Award, had some preposterously nice things to say about us. He also chronicled the other winners in the inaugural Hockey Barn Awards: “Darryl of Dobber Hockey on winning the Leadership Award, Leslie from Musings of a Hockey Mom for the Hockey Mom/Dad/Blogger of the Year Award and Don of Litter Box Cats for being named Rookie of the Year for his coverage of the Florida Panthers.”

Click here for more. Let’s all tap our sticks on the ice for the bloggers mentioned above as well as our very own leader, Paul Kukla, who does everything and anything he can to bring us the latest in the hockey world. There wouldn’t be much of a hockey blog world without Paul, that’s for sure!
