Goal Line Report
What To Make of Tim Kennedy and Todd White

As told to Rangers’ reporters today, Todd White and Tim Kennedy were placed on waivers today.
This was somewhat of a surprise given the positive things that were said about him throughout training camp and pre-season. However, after watching him closely in pre-season, it would seem that Kennedy was easy to knock off the puck.
I’m not saying that he didn’t work hard because believe me he did. He hustles, he hits and he has a tremendous amount of speed. With that said, however, he just wasn’t what the Blueshirts were looking for.
Rangers’ head coach John Tortorella said the following about Kennedy:
“As far as his camp went, it faded a little bit at the end, but he has some good talent and he’s a good kid,” Tortorella said of Kennedy today. “I thought he did some good things with us, as camp went on.”
White, on the other hand, was on the bubble from the get go. Yes, he scored two goals on Saturday against the Ottawa Senators but other than that, seemed to not have too much offer this year’s version of the Rangers.
It’ll be interesting to see what the team does, if anything, in the next few days as they prepare for their first regular season game on Saturday night in Buffalo against the Sabres.

He challenged the system. That’s never a smart move in the NHL. Most nails that stick up are hammered down. That’s why the NHLPA is such a joke. I think it’s a Canadian thing. hockey is such a religion up there it’s heresy to take it on.
