Good afternoon folks. I apologize for not having posted here in the last few days. Things have been busy on the home/family front and I’ve also been busy at work.
Have no fear though, I hope to be posting somewhat regularly once training camp/pre-season gets underway with my thoughts on all things Blueshirts.
For now though, it appears that the team is getting closer and closer to an agree with RFA defenseman Marc Staal, the club’s best defenseman (IMO). Sather apparently said he offered Staal a lucrative deal so we’ll see what that means in the coming days.
It also appears that not only are Garnet Exelby and Ruslan Fedotenko trying out for the Blueshirts, but defenseman Alexei Semenov is also trying out with the club. Not sure what will become of these three but it is certainly curious, eh?
In Rangers’ prospect news, the Blueshirts are 1-1 in two games played at the Traverse City Prospects Tournament. On Sunday, the team was shutout by the Carolina Hurricanes by a score of 1-0 while on Saturday, the team won 5-4 off a late goal by Evgeny Grachev. You can find out more here.
