Rangers’ Prospects In Finals at Traverse City

The New York Rangers’ prospects have been rewarded for their excellent play this week by earning the right to play in the championship against the Buffalo Sabres.

The team has gotten a ton of offense, has played well on both sides of the puck and has receieved consistent goaltending. Basically put, the team has played winning hockey and that has allowed them to get to the final.

Despite losing in double overtime today to the Carolina Hurricanes, the Rangers’ prospects have shown a lot of promise and potential. Players like Ryan Bourque, Tim Erixon, Christian Thomas, Dylan McIlrath, and a slew of others have shown the Rangers’ organization that their future is in good hands.

Believe it or not, GM Glen Sather has a lot to do with the success of these prospects. Sather has the right staff members that allow him to make intelligent picks while also having a coach in John Tortorella who wants to see homegrown kids get chances in the lineup.

Isn’t it nice to have the cupboard fully stocked? Isn’t nice to know that the Rangers’ future looks bright?
