Rangers Crash Back Down to Earth

I’m back folks and unfortunately, so are the New York Rangers as they blew a 2-1 lead and lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs in overtime.
Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist allowed a suspect goal that allowed the Leafs and then in OT, the Leafs made the Blueshirts’ defense all go to one side so that one of their players could tuck in a wraparound past a stretched out Lundqvist.
The point the Rangers got now gives them 76 points on the season and puts them eight points behind the eighth place Philadelphia Flyers, who are dropping games left and right. This means that the club is still alive in the playoff hunt but a loss hereor there could set them back even further.
The team has a chance to pick up a valuable two points when they travel to Long Island on Tuesday night to take on the New York Islanders, who they defeated on Thursday night at Madison Square Garden by a score of 5-0.
This team is going to continue torture Blueshirt fans by teasing them with a few wins here and there and then by bringing them down to earth with a loss that should have been a win. Get used it to it for two more weeks.
