Goal Line Report

Polling Blueshirts’ Fans

Good afternoon folks. With the 2011 NHL Entry Draft just one day away and NHL Free Agency right around the corner, I wanted to get your thoughts on a few things:

- Who do you think the Rangers should take in this draft? Why?

- If you were Rangers’ general manager Glen Sather, would you be willing to trade your pick for something else? If so, why?

- Come July 1, do the Rangers make a bid on UFA Brad Richards? If so, what should Glen Sather be willing to offer Richards?

- What other potential free agents should the Rangers go after? How would they fit into the Rangers’ style of play?

- How much do you think Rangers’ forward Brandon Dubinsky is worth?

- Since the team acquired Tim Erixon from the Calgary Flames, what do you think happens to Michael Del Zotto or Matt Gilroy? In your opinion, who on the blue line would be expendable?

I want to hear what you folks are thinking out there. Comment away!

Sather should trade (1st Rd pick or prospects) and Girardi for P Statsny.
DO NOT sign Richards.Seems like he wants long term deal and too much money.
DO sign Jonni Pitkanin, big young and mobile. Very well rounded D-man coming into his prime. He has a good shoot, very mobil and eats up big minutes. he would be a great role model for Del zotto, Mcdonagh and Erixon (all three are similar in size, mobility and the type of game they play). The D would be set for a long time :Staal, Pitkanin, Sauer, Mcdonagh, Delzotto and Erixon (with McIlrath and Valitanko in the system). A defence made up of young big, mobil d-man.

          Wolinsky-Statsny-Gaboric
          Dubinsky- Anisimov- Cally
    (Gravchev)/Avery-Stepan-(Thomas)
          Fedotenko-boyle-prust

                Staal-Pitkanin
                Mcdonagh-Sauer
                DelZotto-Erixon

                Lundquist

Thats a young, mobil and talented team. with good cap space.
