From Don LaGreca at ESPNNewYork.com:
The Rangers host the Leafs tonight in the biggest game the Garden has seen in the last 10 years. They don’t have to win, but a loss would put them on brink.
Here’s the reason: A loss would mean the most points the Rangers could finish with would be 86. The Flyers and Canadiens would clinch and that would leave just the Bruins within reach. All Boston would need is two points in the final three games. Death!
Now a win would be great but don’t wait on line for tickets just yet. The max points the Blueshirts could get would be 88. The Bruins would need four points to hold off NY and the Flyers would need just two. The good news: The Rangers play their last two games vs the Flyers this weekend.
