I thought players who signed after the trade deadline (seeL Turco, Marty) weren’t eligible to play in the playoffs.  Is this different because it’s his first pro contract?

It’s only UFAs who sign so late who aren’t eligible.

I think because he’s a drafted player and they already own his rights that he could sign after the deadline, but I thought he had to sign by the end of the regular season in order to be eligible.
