Finally the New Jersey Devils will begin their preseason games tonight, as they take on the New York Rangers in Albany, NY tonight. The Devils are coming with a fully loaded lineup tonight, as Patrik Elias, Zach Parise, Ilya Kovalchuk, Jacob Josefson and Adam Larsson.
The full lineups are continued on the next page.
Both Martin Brodeur and Johan Hedberg will not play tonight.
Be sure to check back later on tonight when I give my observations from the game!
Right off the bat, head coach Peter DeBoer liked what he saw when Patrik Elias and Zach Parise took the ice together on the first line. His eyes had to of gotten bigger when he saw Ilya Kovalchuk and Jacob Josefson run the second line of offense. Barring any major injuries, the Devils could be boasting a pretty nice looking offensive unit this coming season.
With Devils camp finished for the day, I will fill you in on some news that has been going around.
Right off the bat, head coach Peter DeBoer pushed the Devils, regardless if you were a veteran or a rookie.
It seems like it has finally happened. The train is finally making its way down the long and winding track. However, this train may not actually stop when it arrives to the station.
Martin Brodeur could possibly be looking to sign an extension sometime throughout the season depending on his personal health and how this season turns out. If you are a fan of the New Jersey Devils, you have to hope that his decision is quick and decisive.
Now that school has started for me, the ease of getting to a computer becomes limited to early in the morning, and very late at night. For my absense on the website for the past couple of days I apologize. Now that things are slowly calming down, I figured I would get back into things here on KK. I have news on the Devils bankruptcy rumor, some player who will be joining the Devils on a tryout, and some other interesting bits of information.
About Devil's Advocate
I am an all around NHL fan. I love to watch Atlantic Division, and root for the Philadelphia Flyers. Just because I cheer for the Flyers, doesn’t mean I don’t keep up with the other teams in the division, specifically the New Jersey Devils. Devils Advocate will provide you with the most important Devils news, filled with my opinion about the selected topic.
