The rule says “Incidental contact with a goalkeeper will be permitted, and resulting goals allowed, when such contact is initiated outside of the goal crease, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact. “

But when Thomas is out of his crease, I don’t think he is entitled to a clear path back to the crease, contrary to what he said.  No player is required to move out of the way for any other player, goalie or not.
