“Roberto Luongo is Our 2007 Goalie of the Year!” reads the cover of Goalies’ World Magazine, and TSN reports glowing praise from the article within:
“Roberto Luongo has been the most consistent goalie throughout the calendar year,” states the magazine.
To win the award, a goalie has to excel in all three segments of 2007: the second part of the 2006-2007 regular season, the 2007 playoffs and the first part of the 2007-2008 season.
“During that stretch, Luongo played 75 games and maintained a .930 save percentage and 2.07 GAA. He had 57 hot games, 13 average and five bad ones. He also stole nine wins,” the magazine said.
Excellent. So that would be a must-have collector’s edition for Canucks fans, right? Well, that’s what I figured till I saw the cover…

Sure, Bobby Lou might be Goalie of the Year, but Tim Thomas apparently trumps that any day of the week.
Bloody hell.
