Dave Bolland: Sad to Get Beaten by “Little Girls”, I guess

Blackhawks’ Dave Bolland isn’t enjoying his summer vacation much yet, still thinking about the Canucks.

“It does get pretty painful watching and seeing that team in it,” Bolland told Fred Mitchel, of the Chicago Tribune.

“It sucks seeing them there.”

And on the brouhaha about Alex Burrows and Patrice Bergeron:

“Typical, pulling hair and biting people. Sort of like a little girl,” Bolland said.

Poor Bolland: So much anger, so much free time to spew it around…

So often we rag on players for giving bland, boring politically correct answers.  Here’s a situation where Bolland speaks from the heart and he gets criticized.

The thing is Burrows is a terrific story, a guy who was undrafted and worked relentlessly to get out of the ECHL and become a front line NHL player.  Is it too much to ask to leave the hair-pulling and biting in the ECHL where it belongs?

I’m sure Dave called Fred Mitchell to complain about the Canucks…its surely all he thinks about. Now way Fred asked him a question about the biting incident…or why he is or isn’t watching the Stanley Cup finals…

oh yeah, and Burrows doesn’t have a reputation for this sort of thing…

It is nice to know that, Vancouver, despite FINALLY beating the Hawks this year, STILL can’t stop caring about them.(see this blog post and the comments on the linked article)

I don’t see how Bolland’s comments are in any way false. Maybe just stick to blogging about the games instead of this stuff because it certainly doesn’t do much to garner support for the nucks’ cause.

How dare anyone question the integrity and honour of the mighty Canucks.

The hair-pulling finger-biter is still the little girl here.

so…you’re saying that, when asked about watching the Canucks in the finals and what he thinks of the integrity and class of said team, he should lie?  It’s not as if his comments were unsolicited.

Mr. Bolland isn’t alone in his opinions.  There seems to be a lot of disgust circling among the players and the fans regarding how the Canucks have acted during the postseason.  They are biting players, constantly diving, and generally tarnishing hockey’s name.  But how dare anyone actually mention it (when asked about it no less), because that’s just being a sore loser.

I guess he’ll just have to take out all of his frustration on the golf course ... now that he has so much time ‘n all.

I love that Bolland is still thinking about the Canucks.  I hope he is watching when they win the Cup. I am sure he will find some other reason to criticize the Canucks.  His jealousy is so transparent. By the way, Bolland is a cheap shot artist and a specialist with stickwork behind the play often when the other player has his back turned.
