Canucks and Beyond

The Vancouver Canucks have announced that forward Brendan Morrison will undergo surgery on his wrist later this week.
Morrison has been experiencing chronic wrist pain and did not make the trip to Anaheim for Wednesday’s game with the Ducks.
“After further consultation with our team doctors it was decided that surgery was the best course of action,” said Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis. “The best long term decision for Brendan and our hockey club is to have this addressed immediately.”
No word on how long Morrison will be out now.
Update 4:19pm PT: How long? Not surprisingly, the CP uses the word “indefinitely” which has an ugly ring to it. But I suppose, with any luck, Canucks fans won’t hear it again anytime soon in relation to Roberto Luongo...
