Hershey (43-24-3-5) trails first place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by 11 points in the East Division but has clinched a playoff berth. Charlotte (41-25-2-7) is in third, three points in back of the Bears and Norfolk (37-21-8-6) fourth, three points further back, though the Ads continue to hold three games in hand on the Checkers.
Rochester (30-35-4-3) remains last in the Western Conference’s North Division, 11 points behind sixth place Abbotsford and now 16 points out of playoff contention.
